Docnetizen’s Online Code of Conduct

Purpose

Docnetizen’s Online Code of Conduct establishes a set of guidelines to ensure a positive, respectful, and inclusive online environment for all participants. By engaging with Docnetizen, you agree to abide by this code of conduct. Please refer any questions or concerns to docnetizen@gmail.com.

1. Respect and Inclusivity

1.1 Be Respectful: Treat all members with kindness and courtesy. Avoid offensive language, discriminatory remarks, or any form of harassment. While Docnetizen respects freedom of expression for debate and productive discussion, there is no room for disrespectful online behavior on this site.

1.2 Inclusivity: Embrace diversity. Be open-minded and inclusive, respecting different opinions, backgrounds, and experiences. Docnetizen does not tolerate discrimination for any user on the basis of: age, race/ethnicity, nationality, gender/sex identity, sexual orientation/preference, socioeconomic background, religion, occupation status, political affiliation, or disability status.

1.3 Be Appropriate: Posting any inappropriate comments or images (be they violent, sexual, or anything similar or of that nature) is strictly prohibited.

1.4 Stay on Topic: Please keep posts related to the topic of the page or post. Do not use the comments section to endorse unrelated topics unless it is directly relevant to the post itself; examples include but are not limited to: political figures/parties/ideologies/movements, commercial brands/products, celebrities/influencers and religious figures/ideologies/groups.

2. Responsible Communication

2.1 Clear Communication: Ensure your messages are clear and constructive. Avoid misleading or ambiguous statements for the sake of clarity and to maintain your post’s integrity.

2.2 Refrain from Spam: Do not engage in spamming, trolling, or any behavior that disrupts the normal flow of conversation.

2.3 Misinformation and Disinformation: Docnetizen is an educational site, and as such has no tolerance for any deliberate use of “data” that are not based on scientific or academic literature. This is especially true for fabricated data or information on a given topic. We embrace opinions from users but as stated in Section 2.1, please be clear about the intent of your comments. Please refer to Section 4 regarding citations for any papers or articles when posting.

2.4 Promotions: Docnetizen does not allow for promotions of peoples, products, organizations, or services unless explicitly allowed. Please refer to Section 1.4 for further information on endorsements.

3. Privacy and Security

3.1 Respect Privacy: Do not share personal information about others without their explicit consent. This includes but is not limited to: legal name, age, date of birth, current or previous home of address/place of residence, online contact information, phone number, social security number, and current or former place of employment.

3.2 Security: Report any security concerns promptly to docnetizen@gmail.com. Do not engage in or encourage hacking, phishing, or any form of unauthorized access.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Respect Copyright: Do not share or distribute copyrighted material without proper authorization. If you would like to use content posted on Docnetizen, please contact docnetizen@gmail.com for permission. Docnetizen maintains ownership of all posts and pages unless explicitly specified.

4.2 Give Credit: When sharing ideas, content, or work, give credit to the original creators. Please cite or link sources directly on posts.

5. Community Safety

5.1 Report Violations: If you witness a violation of this code of conduct, report it promptly to the moderators or administrators via docnetizen@gmail.com.

5.2 No Threats or Violence: Do not make threats, promote violence, or engage in any form of harmful behavior. Any comment or post that indicates otherwise will lead to immediate removal and possible involvement with local authorities if necessary.

6. Compliance and Enforcement

6.1 Enforcement: Violations of this code of conduct may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community/platform. No exceptions will be granted and removal cannot be reversed with appeal.

7. Changes to the Code of Conduct

7.1 Review: This code of conduct may be periodically reviewed and updated. Check for the latest version regularly.

7.2 Notification: Significant changes will be communicated to all members via our main website or through related social media accounts.
